General Liability, including Property under Care Custody and Control

General liability insurance protects commercial insureds from most liability exposures. In a staffing relationship, your employees at a client location have added exposures not typically covered by the standard general liability policy.

Workers’ Compensation

In a traditional Workers' Compensation policy, coverage is for the specific work exposure by the business, but in a staffing business it must be much broader and also include the exposures of every client and of the business. As such,, this exposure is typically one of the largest expenses of a staffing firm and needs active management to keep your insurance costs down.

Hired & Non-Owned Automobile

Most staffing agencies do not have owned autos, but their personal autos of employees are still used to travel to client worksites and other activites of the business. Know as HNOA coverage, it protects your business from the liability of these autos being used in your business, eve nthough they are not owned by the business.

Umbrella/Excess

An umbrella liability policy is a policy designed to provide protection against catastrophic losses by increasing the overall limits of other coverages. In staffing, it typically will also extend over professional liability (E&O/Medical Malpractice) coverage as well as the General Liability, HNOA, and Workers' Compensation coverages.

Property, including property of others

Property insurance is a type of insurance policy that can provide coverage for property owners or renters. Examples of property insurance include building (If owned), and business personal property such as computers/network, leased equipment, and office furniture.

Employment Practices Liability (EPLI)

Employment practices liability insurance (EPLI) is a type of liability insurance covering wrongful acts arising from the employment process. Since Staffing is an Employee/Worker focused business, employment-related exposures such as discrimination, unlawful termination, sexual harassment, are common in the staffing space, even at client locations.

Errors & Omissions (E&O)

Protective professional indemnity insurance is first-party insurance that provides supplemental coverage for professional errors and omissions (E&O) claims against the insured's professionals on assignment as well as the staffing firms professional activities as part of the placement process. It is import to make sure placements are under the complete direction and control of the client and have no sign off authority to minimize the staffing firm's exposure.

Medical Malpractice, if placing medical personnel

Medical malpractice insurance is a type of professional liability(E&O) insurance that covers healthcare professionals against claims of injury and medical negligence. Staffing firms that place workers in the medical fields, or have any contact with individuals, including Home Healthcare, Pharmacists, Nurses, Dental Assistants, or any other clinical medical support staff have exposure.

Cyber Liability – Third Party

Third-party cyber liability insurance provides liability coverage for businesses that are responsible for a client's online security. This includes temporary staffing workers who are accessing and utilizing a client's IT system. It is important to make sure the worker is under the complete direction and control of the client and has no sign off authority, to minimize the staffing firm's exposure

Crime

Provides coverage for the Staffing Firm's loss of money, securities, and other assets resulting from dishonesty, theft or fraud. It also includes third part client protection from placement employees at a client location.

Abuse

Under this type of insurance, covered claims of misconduct to other parties may include actual or threatened abuse, molestation or sexual harassment.

Health Insurance for placements

With the newer federal laws implemented as a result of the Affordable Care Act, temporary staffing firms are required by law to provide health insurance benefits to their temporary employees even if they are not full time (new laws look at Full Time Equivalents (FTEs), which is a calculation that combines part time. We can provide inexpensive solutions, known as MEC plans (Minimum Essential Care) that meet the requirements set forth by the ACA, and help with issues of compliance.
